Day of Reflection

What is a Day of Reflection?

Committing to a day of maintaining awareness.

When: Last Saturday of each month

What: Daylight fast
Meals are not eaten until after sundown. Fasting serves as a time to reflect and contribute our own personal sense of compassion and renewal.

Why: Recognizing that we are all connected, and to make a small gesture of our willingness to share, each participant and supporter expresses their committment by donating the money that would have been used to purchase meals that day are donated to the New Dharma fund, which directly supports awareness practice and social action.

Participants are encouraged to wear a black Reflection Ribbon as a means of increasing awareness that you are making an active committment to peace.
